I'm planning on building a computergame with a couple of friends,
anyone knows good ideas for the game or someone who might be interested to join the crew..... here's what i have so far :

The Greatest, largest and most entertaining MMORPG of all times without those irritating look-a-like monsters and quests, with constantly new quests and new persons to keep the fun up.

Contains:

1. Multiple Martial Arts (like kung fu, aikido, karate, tai kwando and so forth) With all real moves from the original styles for extreme likeness
2. Multi-combat (fighting with and against more than one people at a time (no waiting for the other guy to hit him but hit at the same time, so he’ll need to block/dodge them both at the same time 2 not get hit)
3. Expiring Quests (like when some1 got him the item he needed some1 else can’t do it, or when some1 is escorted somewhere he stays there to do buisness)
4. RPG lvl-ing style (u can choose weither u want to gain speed/stamina/strength/skills whenever u lvl)
5. Realistic looking models (even hidious people cause the world also has bad looking people)
6. Real good differences between lvl’s (even lvl’s 1,2,3,4,5)
7. A hard tutorial (best teacher is a strickt teacher)
8. A real day to day world (including the aging of (immortal by age) players and npc’s (which also means that if a certain master dies that u can’t learn the technique anymore)
9. A non-linear fighting system (so no seeing 20 times the same move in a batlle, unless u choose to do that, and even then the camera will move around to make it look different
10. Vehicles and other npc traffic( like cars and motorcycles, which u can use if u get tired by flying)
11. Energy related skills like flying, shooting energyballs/waves and increased speed by focusing
12. Trainers and dojo’s all over the world (which all teach different things)
13. A special Ability for every 1000th player
14. Melee weapons like swords, knifes and sticks, which u can only optain by mastering a certain style, and can choose only 1 weapon per person
15. reaction time fighting ( against a same lvl opponent, reaction time needed for blocking or dodging is 0.25 sec. After that every opponent higher lvl than u is reaction time 0.25 – reaction time per lvl( lvl 1 to 2 = 0.02, 2 to 3 = 0.03, 4 = 0.04 and so forth (so a lvl 1 versus a lvl 4 player = 0.25 – 0.02 – 0.03 – 0.04 = 0.16 sec)

I'm confused: how can you have "greatest game" and "RPG" in the same sentence? ;)

Good luck. That's certainly a very ambitious game.

Let me tell you something about those kinds of games. I like them, but don't play online. It would seem that the more people the better, but I stick to me vs the computer type because when I jump into one of those, at a starting level, I last like 15 seconds, get my butt kicked, come back, last 15 secs, get my butt kicked, etc. NO FUN. Seems like there should be multi-game levels where people with a chacter level n-n only can be in, and as you progress levels then you change game levels as well. Or at least something along those lines. I mean you need to entice people into the game, then keep them there, and coming back. If all I get is less than a minute of play time between butt kickings, where is the insentive to stick around? Just my thoughts.

That and the inability to communicate in English.

e.g. Ha, u r so pwn3d!!!! i am teh rox0r!!!!!!

I get sick and tired of MMORPGs very fast. You better some up with something very original in order to keep people interested. Also, if it's going to be one with a monthly subscription, I would suggest you have different plans, depending on how much the person actually plays the game.

What does the MMO in MMORPG stand for?

Massively Multiple Online...I think.

Remove the ability to twink characters and make people earn what they get. EverCrack (AKA EverQuest) and Star Wars both had the ability to twink out your character with Macros. Just my pet peeve!

Ohh yeah, no chicks with HUGE boobs! *giggles* If you do that, then make the males look like Gerard Butler *purrrrsss* :D I would play if that was the case!! If they also had his accent, I would be hard pressed to stop playing and go to work! *laughs* :o  :o :p

You don't get males in Lesboquest!

Funny you should say that about Everquest - I don't have it (yet), but I know someone who does, and he spends every waking minute playing it. At the expense of his wife and children. Perhaps I won't get it for myself.

Yes, I have seen people stay on it for days on end as well as it taking over their life and destroying their marriage. *cough cough* It can be as addictive as drugs, including withdrawals when it is stopped!

Then, I suppose I won't play then. :p

I thought Golf was the greatest game.

Let me see if i got your point.... u want a timer which when u buy the game u get like 20 hours of gameplay and everytime u log into the game a timer starts running which keeps track of the time played???

That's gonna be solved by creating your own char in a way like WWF smackdown, so u can form your entire body by yourself

But does anyone know some1 who might be interested in helping out......?

Yes, tell me what you are wanting help in, and I will ask around. I do go to school for Computer programming, so one of my friends in school may be interested.

Not quite what I meant. FOr instance...in order to play WOW online, you have to buy 30 dollar cards every month to play unlimitted for the entire month. How about different payment options? If you're like me, you don't have a lot of time and wouldn't spend 30 dollars a month to play a game you might not play as avid as someone who plays almost 24/7...why should you pay the same amount as them?

That's what i mean with paying per minute/hour, that way people who play more pay more money....
