Why there is a lack of resources about opening the attachment fields?

Hi All,

I need to store one Excel file template on a database (as an attachment)and need to refer it while coding (by opening it programmatically). I wonder why there is a lack of resources on internet about this topic? (perhaps very difficult to find I say).

Anyone here worked with this datatype?

There is probably a lack of information because the attachment datatype and control are relatively new. The internet has had less time to accumulate information about these objects.

Hi All. Thanks to your replies. Can someone please tell me How to open an attachment field?

I don't know why such a simple thing when done manually is not even explored much through programming. Kindly help.
