Zero Length String Question (1 Viewer)

I have a command button that goes from one form to another, opens a new record in the new form, and pastes several of the fields from one form to the other. I have one field, however, that comes up as a zero length field, but there is data in it. Does anyone know why this is happening? I've not run into it previously.
