Thanks for the update on the API.
There are several of us usign Access 2010 woth a SQL Server back-end.
On my current project, I was able to use a SQL Server Linked Server to connect over a VPN to another database.
In another life, we had an obscure CoolGen (like Foretran) API and another one in C.
There is a process of using a Wrapper for the DLL.
Unless of course the 3rd party API can be referenced and expose itself in the COM, (Tools Reference in the programming module).
I don't check all of the sites daily, so if you post something new, feel free to send an internal message.
My plans are to add some C# programming so I can program the Excel Object Model direstly from SQL Server and bypass Access. .It is going to be somewhat ... challanging. - regards
