Question Access 2010 RT crashes on Access 2016 machine

I found the error! It had nothing to do with any versions 2010 or 2016. I changed a field in a SQL table from "Null" to "not Null", but did not refresh the links in Access accdb and did therefore not create a new accde. Although there where NO orphan records in the child table, there has been...

Question Access 2010 RT crashes on Access 2016 machine

Randomly I have a trace what causes the crashes, although I have no clue why: In my forms (which crashes) I have tabs (pages). Whenever a "main record" has linked records from another table, displayed in the tabs, the app crashes. Whenever I delete the related records in the other table I can...

Question Access 2010 RT crashes on Access 2016 machine

I am sorry, you are right: But the message is absolutely MEANINGLESS. It says "Execution of this application has stopped due to a run-time error. The application can't continue and will be shut down." Nothing more. Thats why I cannot continue searching as I have no glue where it could come...

    Cannot delete records in subform

Thanks your advices. The strange Thing is, that is works on one subform but not on the other two. I do not use dynaset because I want to execute it on the Server directly, not on the connected tables. And as I said, I cannot even run the code, putting a Debug.print straight after the...

Import Lotus Notes Mail into Access-DB

Ha, I recently found a solution. The difficulty is just to understand that Notes have front-end-classes which "serves" the NotesUIworkspace and back-end-classes that handles NotesUIDatabase. The only thing that I could not solve yet is to import a mail as HTML, which should be possible, but...

Reports crash in Acc 2010 Runtime

Spikepl don't be that angry. RT means Access runtime, as I used this term in the subject already, I assumed that every Body can follow. PTquery is passthrough query which which I ussed the Long term one line above. So I did not want to confuse anybody - but reading the thread I think...

    Need help with an array

Just for info: collection works best, but you have to use "On error resume next". Otherwise you fail by error if another letter will be sumitted.

    Need help with an array

I could not find any Problems when Decoding "adhl" for example by Choose, the results where correct. As adhl is different to ADHL or any mixute of it, I convert the string By LCase("AdHl") before Splitting it. I will try Collection too, which I never used before. Thanks both of you!

    Need help with an array

Hi stopher! This works even smarter!! I still do not understand choose (although I found it on the net - never used choose before!) and why to have 13 values for 12 letters, but it works. I had to add an if-clause to avoid letters larger than "l" For i = 1 To Len(textstring)...

    Need help with an array

@stopher Thanks yr. reply, but as I said, it cannot be solved with ASC as the numbers are not in any correlation to the letters. There are just numbers in a sequence of 12 without Zeros that they cannot be mixed up with letter o.
