refresh a subform on a tab control on a subform on a tab control (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Due to the way I've needed to sort something out I have the following set up.

Main form 1 - Dealing with all work a department does.
Tab control 1- 3 pages 1st page is stock - on which is:
Subform 4 - Stock requests - on which is:
Tab control 2 - New, outstanding and on hold

I can refresh tab control 1 and any subforms on it, but How can I add Tab control 2 to the auto refresh on timer code on the main form?

the usual Subformname.Requery isn't working.

Do I need to refernce it using forms!Frm_Stkreq!subcctnew.subform?

the tab should be irrelevant.
if you want to refresh data, refresh the subform.

Its still not working but i've made a work around.
