Visual Basic & XML made easy? (1 Viewer)

I'm new to Access, using 2010, and I have no idea on how to write the code for Visual Basic or XML. Anyone know if there is something like this "for Dummies" at Barnes & Noble or other book sellers? I'm taking an Access course and the text we're using is Microsoft Access 2007 Inside and Out and I'm having trouble understanding the sample code for the sample databases from the companion CD. Anyway, does anyone know of any easy to read/understand writing Access code book I can use? Thanks.
