RESOLVED: Updated field names in backend split database - forms not working (1 Viewer)

RESOLVED: Not sure what I did, but it seems to work now.

I split a database, and then afterwards changed the field names in my backend.

The new field names are now reflected in the front end, but many of the fields on my forms no longer link properly. When I try to re-create the fields on my form, they still link to the old field names, and the fields appear blank on my form, though the data are still present in the tables.

How do I fix this?

The Name Auto Correct (some call it Name Auto Corrupt) "feature" causes more problems than it solves due to the way it propagates name changes. ALWAYS turn the property OFF unless you understand how it works and can control it so that it helps rather than hinders name changes.
