Hello all--not a programmer, just a lowly scientist trying to track data. Access seemed like a good idea at the time?

When I was doing my dissertation research, I would have cheerfully killed to have MS Office tools to organize the data, write the dissertation, plot the data, and organize my references. "Whole new world" indeed.
