Access 2002-Speach Recognition (1 Viewer)

Does anyone out there use Access 2002? I just got it and every time I launch Access, I get this screen telling me I need to activate the speach recogntion in order to properly use Access. It is driving me nuts!!!

I have looked in knowledge base and other places and find zilch.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

ON the Language bar, click the microphone icon OFF. For as long as the microphone is on...it will slow your computer and continue to try to process any and all sounds that it is able to pick up.

So if you do not want to use it..just shut it off and Access will work fine without it.

if you do not see the LANGUAGE toolbar on your screen, go to:

Start
Control Panel
Text Services
Click on Language bar
Select SHOW the Language Bar....

I hope this helps. I disable mine as quickly as I shut off that darn paperclip guy. So, I don't remember exactly what I did to kill the speech message
