Access 2007 to 2010 - Lost import specs (no object in this control)

I have attached my front end. Please if you can have a look and let me know if there is anything I can see

I am stumped and really need to have more data brought in via the specs

Many thanks

10th post so you've just crossed the threshold for uploading files to the forum ;) so you should be able to now!

haha yes, sorry for so many posts

please let me know if you ahve any questions about the attachment

HI Gina

I posted my DB and was hoping you could ahve a look please when you get a chance?

Can you see why I cant get my Advanced area for importing

The VBA Extensibility reference was still checked in the front end you uploaded.

I opened your db and I can see the Import Specs so I'm not sure if you can see them and it fails when run or you can't see them at all?

See attached screenshot and try the attached db.

NB: I've commented out some code because it wouldn't compile.

Thanks, yes I can see that but the file drive it's pointing is someone who has left now. Is there a way I can open that and bring it to me?

Also were you able to get to the import wizard to work ?

How could I change the import specs from here ?

Yes that's why I said you should try it with the file I sent.

You get the Import Spec during the Import routine, click the Advanced button.

Ok thanks . Will try that first thing when I am in tomorrow as I couldn't bring my pc home with me.

Many thanks for your assistance today and will let you know how it goes

Here's a db with just the Import Specs if your one still doesn't work, but try that one first before using this.

Thanks , sorry one more question. How will I actually import the specs? Should I just be able to go straight to wizard

Hmm, thinking I can move on... vbaInet seems to have everything under control! :D

The little darlings are back home with Mommy and Daddy now and every year I remember why I say *won't do that again* but I do it anyway!

Good morning

I opened up the DB and when I went to import data I couldnt get to the advanced tab as I got the same error messages attached

any idea why that is happening? did that happen to you?

I opened both of them but they have that same error when I go to the import wizard

I would have to guess it's your installation. Try it on another PC.

just my luck. cant find anyone with office 2010 but should do in the next hour

Can I make any changes to the spec from saved import area, you alluded to earlier? I can access that and have repointed it to my own folder
