ACCESS opens in notepad

When one user opens his ACCESS file, it opens in Notepad. He uses ACCESS 2003.

Now he has to right click on that file (on windows explorer) and select open with 'MS Access' to make it to work.

Any one knows how this setting can be changed to open with MS ACCESS?

You might try this:
Open your windows explorer > go to tools > folder options > TAB File types >
select MDB > hit Change > and select MS Access as the program you want to open mdb files with.
That should do .

when doing open with, select the "choose program" option and when the next box appears ensure you have the "always use this program......" tick box checked.

Alternatively open windows explorer select the tools menu and then Folder options and then the file types tab. Assocuiate .mdb files with MSACCESS.
