I have a report that contains a subreport. In the subreport I need a field where the user creating the report can enter additional information to display on the report. The text entered does not have any bearing on what records get pulled from the database or anything else. The report is ran monthly and sometimes there is no additional information to be added.
I created a parameter field and added it to the subreport so that the user would be prompted to enter this information. The problem is that if there is no additional information Crystal will not allow the user to proceed beyond the prompt and create the report. It gives an error "The value is not valid". I didn't see anywhere in parameter settings dialog to "allow value to be null". Am I missing something or will Crystal simply not allow a null parameter?
