The last entry on your list? Snipe?

The prank they play on noob hunters? :D ;)

(Unless it's a UK thing that I don't know about?)

PS: Egg on my face! Apparently there are snipes, after all!

Why eat them then?

What, pigeon eggs? Long story

Basically, when I eat meat I don't see why I should discriminate, and face it, you might as well try it if it's getting cooked anyway.

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's one of the things I always worry about when eating mass produced chicken.

My grandmother used to make hog's head cheese. It was made from whatever boiled off off (or out of) a hog's skull. I did eat it (you never said no to my grandmother). Yuck.

Wow I had no idea it was actually made that way. That sounds incredibly disgusting, but I try not to judge until I try something. I haven't found anything I haven't liked, but I've been wanting to travel east and see if I can find those strange delicacies like monkey brain, snake blood/meat, super fresh sushi, weird insects - definitely something I'll do before I RIP.

More on topic... I knew a girl when I was in highschool that had giraffes and some zebras on her dad's farm. I'm not sure if they really count as "pets" but along the same lines.

Mmmm Steak. Rare with crushed garlic and black pepper. Maybe some sauted onions on top.

I prefer medium rare, and your seasoning selection sounds quite delicious. Italian dressing also works quite well.

Reminds me of a time (growing up, my dad's brother...uncle lived with us for sometime). The neigbhour's duck (mother duck) went missing. next i know, uncle is roasting what looks like a turkey in the basement oven  Im sure all the pidgeons in the area knew our yard as "the death zone"

we all kept it a secret tho. never told our parents cos im sure they'd have sent him packing at that point! never tasted the duck either.

We go from strange pets to what we've all eaten. I guess that shows how we truly feel about "man's best friend". :D
