Can I automate emailing of queries?

I am very much a newbie at this. I use Access to run a youth sportsclub membership database, and use queries to separate the data into sets based on age.

The age group managers require the data for their individual groups by email, and I usually do this by sending the appopriate query in .xls format. (they all have Excel, but few have Access)

My question is, can I automate this, so that once or maybe twice a week the latest emailed attachments are sent automatically.

Is this more of an Outlook problem rather than an Access problem though?

All help gratefully received

Are you using Access to e-mail the reports? I'm working on an application right now that the user can select which e-mail system they use and then sends it. They can pick either Outlook or Notes. If you do the e-mailing right from your program then you should have no problem automating the sending of the report.

I have managed to create a Macro to automatically send the approprate extract of the database (Query) to the appropriate person. This creates an outlook message with the query output as an xls attachment, and Outlook send sit next time it is online, which is good enough for me.

What I dont know how to do is to schedule each of the macros (there are 11, one for each age group, 7 to 17) to run automatically once aweek, say.

Create a shortcut of the macros and place them on your desktop or somewhere and then create a task in the Task Scheduler for each macro.

so near and yet so far - the access database is password protected, so of course the task wont run unattended - having said that, the fact that it gets as afar as prompting for the pasword is probably enough!

Thanks anyway
