I said to an American friend of mine "but what would happen if Canada committed a terrorist attack against the USA" - the USA would be up in arms and would respond equally or even more harshly to the attack.
My American friend said but "That would never happen" the implication being that Canadians would never commit a terrorist act, or more correctly they don't have it in them...
I thought my analogy was quite good, but from the American perspective it just lacks any credibility.
I got something from it, I now understand what Americans think of Canadians. It brings to mind the Due South series that used to be on TV.
