Hi All,

So I'm trying to apply conditional formatting to my spreadsheet, that already has some data in there, basically on each row I want to change the fill colour, for the row if say one of the cells in the row has the word "Assigned" in it.

This is easy enough using conditional formatting and easy enough to copy down on an empty sheet.

How can I copy the conditional formatting across approx 250 rows of current data, without changing the data already in the rows (I tried dragging and it just copied the data from the first row).

Is there a way of doing this without having to manually do this on all 250 rows ?

Kind Regards

Mattp

Use the format painter, looks like a paint brush.
You have to get the addressing in the conditional formula correct with regard to abs and rel addressing.
EG if the Column is C then $C2 in row 2
