Hello All,

At work we're running Windows XP and Access 2007.

I generally have multiple Access apps open at any given time.

Here's the problem ... when I open a new Access App, Windows wants to open
the "minimized" applications MAXIMIZED! I really don't like this.

I've written apps that use a timer to minimize the Access window, but don't want
to do this for everything.

Any thoughts/ideas?

Thanks,
Wayne

Hello Wayne,

Are you saying that when you open a new mdb or accdb, the other ones that are open in other instances of Access automatically maximize themselves and become the active windows? I was kind of confused when I read this post...

the_net_2.0,

Yes, they maximize, and I think they become the active window.

I'd just like them to stay minimized.

Thanks,
Wayne

I just wondered what you meant by that Wayne. I duplicated it on my TV and the other instances did not do this. Did you consider whether or not it is related to the use of Modal or Popup forms in the instances that automatically popup?

Net,

Thanks for your response.

The forms aren't modal. When app A is minimized, then app B starts, app A
maximizes and remains so during/after app B's startup.
