Hi everyone,

I’m Darshan Hiranandani, in a bit of a bind and need some help. I’ve set up a database to track client activity for my team—though I’m not really familiar with programming. I followed some guides I found online to create the database, imported the right files, created a form, and split the database. I then gave each team member their own copy of the frontend (FE) and saved everything in a shared folder.

However, now, two out of the three team members and the original FE are experiencing issues with lock files that won’t go away. I’m not sure why this is happening or how to fix it.

Can anyone help me unlock these files and also offer advice on how to prevent this from happening in the future? I suspect the shared folder setup may be part of the issue, but I’m not entirely sure.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Regards
Darshan Hiranandani

lock file on BE side will not be deleted until none is using the be.

Every user must have create, edit, and delete rights in the shared folder. Can they all create and then delete just a Notepad file in the folder?

I trust your shared folder is not Sharepoint or similar.
