Date Pull from Query (1 Viewer)

Hello All,

I am currently working with Access 2010. I have Table A that has a column containing date in format mm/dd/yyyy. I need this format to record information. I now need Table B to pull the date from Table A (through a query) but in the format mm/yyyy. I tried to use an input mask but the "background" data is still recorded as mm/dd/yyyy and does not allow me to find an average per month per year on a chart. I believe I have to run a query, but am not sure what the expression would be. I have been able to pull the month data to one query column and year to another, but do not know how to pull them together.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much! This worked perfectly! I had to use two tables because I have to record master data in both files and it can never be overwritten. I appreciate all of the help!!!
