I am an ex IBMer now nearly 80 years old. I have a lot of experience writing in Delphi but I have taken on a task for a dog club (unpaid) to create a tool for tracking points earned at dog shows. It was done in the past with Excel but the person doing it died and I found his excel files too complicated to use but I agreed to take it on. I chose Access as it has a good user front end, good database management and is on most windows machines.
I have no training in Access, Visual Basic or SQL but I have created most of what I need copying from forums etc.

Hi. Welcome to AWF!

Hello, David, and welcome to the forums.

You have obviously done a few searches to find things you need, but don't be a lurker forever. We welcome questions from every direct. I used to specialize in Digital Equipment Corp's PDP-11 and VAX lines, with a smattering of DECsystem 10 stuff. That was decades ago for me.
