Sotomayor criticizes presidential immunity case as putting the high court’s legitimacy on the line
In her first public comments since the start of Trump's second term, Justice Sotomayor said she believes the ruling puts the Court's legitimacy at risk.
This case is also reflective of other attempts by Democrats to deceitfully manipulate political process in their favor. I don't recall all the specifics, but Harry Reid ended the ability to use the filibuster to slowdown the appointment of a Supreme Court Justice this backfired and allowed McConnell to appoint Gorsuch. Then of course there was the ridiculous attempt by the Democrats to inappropriately use the 14th Amendment to keep Trump off the ballots in various states. This raised a Constitutional concern that local prosecutors could keep a candidate from running for president based simply on politics. Bragg's persecution of Trump is an extension of that, in that a local prosecutor (Bragg) can make-up a crime to arrest a presidential candidate.
The Democrats seem to believe that they are immune from the repercussion of nutty "legal" concepts.
