The dishonesty of Democrats (as expressed by Lightfoot and Adams) concerning illegal immigration is beyond comprehension. Abbott cannot be blamed, as the Biden administration created this problem.

• The border "crises" is the result of the Biden administration importing illegal immigrants into the US. From the Democratic perspective, this is not a "crises" since it implements their "transformation" of the US through a planned invasion. Consequently any criticism that Lightfoot and Adams have should be directed at Biden. To solve their concerns, they should be demanding that the border be closed and that the illegal immigrants in the US be deported. Abbott cannot be blamed. (Adams, to his credit, has taken the opportunity to sporadically place the blame on Biden; but it seems that Abbott is being unjustly demonized by Adams since Adams is a partisan Democrat who is too cowardly to challenge the Democratic party.)
• Both New York and Chicago have advertised themselves as being "Sanctuary Cities" and have openly invited illegal immigrants to come. Abbott cannot be blamed.
• As an associated issue; both Lightfoot and Adams have called for federal assistance to pay for the services needed to support the illegal immigrants. The reason for mentioning this, it does not solve the illegal immigration issue. It merely makes it "invisible" and creates an incentive for more illegal immigrants to come. The solution is to close the border and deport the illegal immigrants.

It's the Democrats not being able to see the hyprocasy of their own beliefs. We have states and cities virtue signalling that they are refuges for the poor of the world. Just get here and we'll take care of you.

I'm not sure how many hotels in NYC are totally dedicated to the illegal aliens these days. I think it is 50 and growing. Of course the hotels can't take in paying customers at the same time because the illegals are such bad tenants. In fact, the city is paying top dollar for the rooms and I think it is 5 million per day to house these people because eventually, they will go back to housing paying guests but they'll need to be completely refurbished first so the owners need to collect a lot of money to make that happen. Of course the US citizen homeless are still sleeping on subway grates because they don't deserve hotel accommodations. They're just citizens after all and don't matter.

Then the cities complain because Abbott sends illegals to them by the busload. Why should he not do that? Didn't the cities say they wanted the illegals? I guess not all of them can call in the National Guard to take out the trash the way Martha's Vineyard did when DeSantis sent them a planeload of illegals. Apparently they didn't actually mean they wanted illegals. They just wanted to virtue signal and they got caught.

Why should Texas and other border states have to deal with the influx? How many communities can handle 2000 new people a day with no money, no means of support, and who don't speak English? It would probably be more efficient to just let these people fly directly to the city where they want to live rather than forcing them to fly to Mexico first and then walk across the border. Apparently the masses at the border this week are from Venezuela. Technically, they had to pass through a lot of "safe" countries to get to our southern border. Why did they not seek asylum in any of those countries? I'll tell you why. The accommodations aren't that good and neither are the other benefits that they get from our welfare state that you and I pay for.

You made a mistake, When I was working for DOJ Immigration 30 some odd years ago we were told we couldn't use the term "illegal aliens" that they would now be referred to as "undocumented citizens". During one protest from the undocumented, my favorite sign I saw was "We No Criminals". BTW, this is sarcasm at work.

This morning, Fox News has been on a tirade concerning the ending of Title 42 and the potential guaranteed invasion of illegal immigrants. There is an "intersection" between the ending of Title 42 and the theme of this thread.

• Both Lightfoot and Adams are begging for federal aid to take care of the illegal immigrants in their respective cities. Neither one seems truly interested in demanding that Biden close the border. Seems that Biden could issue Executive Orders to do that. After all he had no trouble terminating Trump's successful immigration policies.
• Fox News has been lamely claiming that Biden has no plan to deal with this "crises". What Fox News is missing is that the importation of illegal immigrants is planned chaos. It is not a crises to the Democrats. The Biden administration has no interest in closing the border. The influx of illegal immigrants will put significant pressure on the resources of New York City and Chicago. Is the Cloward-Piven Strategy Being Implemented??? Democrats hope to use this planned chaos and human suffering to expand federal government welfare programs. One can speculate that Lightfoot and Adams, as Democratic operatives, want to see significant human suffering to "force" the federal government, as a humanitarian gesture, to provide welfare to the suffering illegal immigrants.
• The word "federal" highlighted since it seems that the Democrats are pushing for federal control over the nation. One example, consistent with the theme of this thread is "defund the police". Candice Owens had an excellent video clip where she speculated that the purpose of the defunding the local police was to cripple them from doing their job which creates chaos in the streets. The likes of Lightfoot and Adams claim they can't recruit local police (because they have actually "stabbed" the police in the back. So who would want to be a police officer?) and the federal government is therefor obligated to step in to protect the residents. The Democrats are creating chaos so that the gullible public will willing accept the Democrats as "saviors" through an all powerful tyrannical federal government to "solve" the very problems that the Democrats manufactured.

• The various Democratic party mayors and governors impacted by the influx of illegal immigrants never call on the Biden administration to close the border and deport the illegal immigrants. That would solve the problem.
• In declaring their cities/states as sanctuaries for illegal immigrants, the political leaders said that they would ignore federal law and not assist federal law enforcement with deporting illegal immigrants. The border Governors are not choosing where to send the invaders. The invaders get to choose their own destination. The Feds give them free airfare and they don't need a photo ID to board the plane. Why? Because they are special and YOU are dirt. The border crises is still simmering along. Once again, I had to hear Jean-Pierre lament that it is up to Congress to fix the "broken" border crises. Conveniently ignoring the fact that Trump was able to successfully implement executive strategies to minimize illegal immigration. What is incredible and beyond belief is that the Biden administration is using executive action to open the border. That raises the very obvious question that if executive action can be used to keep the border open, then it can be used (as Trump did) to close the border. Also consider that the Biden administration did not get the approval of Congress to open the border. Where are the pundits and press highlighting this logical flaw?

What happened to checks and balances? The Executive branch is supposed to enforce the laws passed by Congress. WHO is supposed to stop an Executive branch that is violating the law of the land?

And the ultimate authority is the Constitution Article IV, section 4 which says that the government will protect the states against Invasion. It didn't say anything about "except if they are not carrying guns and they are only coming to suck off the teat of the welfare system".

Everybody loves to talk about, for example, compassion for the homeless.
