You may be aware that Adobe has a lot of AI offerings in new tool features within their software suites.
Seems that AI in Adobe has been trained to scan your documents.

And it appears this is stated within their EULA that they can access and use your data for whatever suits their purposes.
Of course they do state they do not claim ownership, but they certainly will not ask you if they can use it.

That is pretty invasive. Many pdf documents are private. Congress needs to squash this. But what service are you using? What are you uploading to?

In Adobe Acrobat Pro, while saving the file, there’s an option to upload the file to Adobe’s cloud. That copy can be used to share files to others, or use it as a cloud backup.

Yesterday, we deleted all of our on-line drawings from Adobe cloud. We stopped using this service after we read the above article in reddit.

People who put their data in the cloud need to read the EULA very carefully. This one is the worst I've ever seen. Sounds like a "free" service. Is it? Because if you are paying for cloud storage, you are entitled to expect some privacy.

I don't know how to answer. Acrobat is free and as far as I know, the free version doesn't come with cloud storage. (Never have used the free version)
We use Acrobat pro US$19.99 per month per user and it has the cloud service.
Do they add cloud as a bonus to pro version or a part of that 19.99 is for cloud, that, I don't know.

Do you know what really hurts? That : "You give us the license to reproduce, publicly display your contents". It means they were using our designs, product drawings, and the process to produce them all the while, without any of us being aware.

That really sounds like a violation of your intellectual property rights. That is why I am trying to figure out if your company was paying for the cloud storage. I would run this by your lawyers. If the cloud storage is free, you made a mistake by not reading the EULA first. But if you paid for the service, you may have a case regardless because the intellectual property rights may override the EULA - which nobody reads they are so long!!!! Also, you need your lawyers to ensure that your drawings are actually gone and cannot be retrieved from their backups.

Just my opinion, but I feel that Adobe is a sewer of popups, solicitations, tricky subscriptions, and generally gimmicks and games.
Total crap. If anyone ever beats them out of the PDF game entirely, I will be very happy.

I stopped using Adobe over 15 years ago, after reading their T&Cs. I used to use
CutePDF but now get by with Sumatra PDF. On a new PC one of the first things I do
is remove any copies of Adobe, if installed.

Have you read the T&Cs to your anti-virus. The software that knows and links details from
every device if you install it on them all. Maybe one from one supplier and one from
another on a different device? More expensive but not sharing as much to one of them.
I first noticed it on McAfee, who you give permission to do just about anything
on your device. From accessing your emails to downloading details of ALL of the
software you use. Even If I remember correctly, any software or documents it takes a fancy to.
I asked them how they could access my emails without the password and they refused
to answer. So I removed it from the machine and wiped my mouth on the loss.

Let's face it if these FANGS can hoover up so much information it beggars belief that
they don't access your passwords as well. Inking in Windows records your key presses.
I always have it switched off. But is there another version that you don't know about?
CAPTCHA is another that pops up if a site can't get all of the detail it wants. If a website
wants me to tick all of the motor cycles and crosswalks, I'll shut it down and look for one
that doesn't.

Like the man said in Hill Street Blues- "Let's be careful out there" It applies more than ever now.
