I have a Epson ecotank (ET-3830) about 18 months old. It has been working fine.

Now it stop mixing color. The printing is coming out black print, black. Blue and red print come out yellow. I have Print head cleaning twice. I will not let me do power cleaning. Something about you printed or preform head cleaning when the ink levels were too low. All reservoirs are full now. Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried the Epson site? They probably have some kind of help there.
Thanks P.
No, I had the same thing happen 5 years ago and another ET-3830, went there and found nothing. I finally just threw the printer away and bought a new one. First time around someone suggested I just print in black, but my picture on my letterhead is in color,

I guess this tells us not to buy that model printer. I like Epson's and have had several over the years. Currently have a WF-3520 that's been going for 8 years.

You have a point there. However I have had many different printers and they all gave me trouble. The best point is ink tanks. Every other printer I had always run out of cartage during a big print job 5 minutes after Office supply closed. I look at a picture of your WF 3520, its not ink tank is it? This one has the least trouble. Here is another troubling point with this one. Why they make it so hard to plug in the USB cable into back of the printer. I have to stand the printer on it head, get a bright light so I can see which way the prongs are headed inside a deep cavity, then try and wiggle my fingers. Actually it probable has more to do with old age than Pinter. lol

I have to admit, I don't stress the printer with huge print jobs. Usually about 50 pages is the max I have to print at one time and that is my tax return and it is b&w. If I had huge print jobs, I would go with a laser printer. I order remanufactured cartridges on line and try to always have a spare so I order the new cartridge when I put the last one of that color in. So far, I've never gotten a bad one.

Pat,
I hate it when you let me do dumb things.
I had two letters and two envelopes to get out after the big batch. I thought about sending a friend of mine a copy and having her printing them for me, and then making writing them in long hand. I just removed my picture and typed in an explanation. I am sure they will understand

I've had terrible luck with printers.
The latest 'game' they are playing is to sell a product that requires a subscription to their ink refills in order to work, with only potential hacks workarounds for only a few of those products that are hard to implement if you're not a Printer Techie.
And they hide this information very well.......You don't realize you've bought something that will never work after the first cartridge goes dry, until after you've unpacked it and thrown away the receipt months later.
Hope you find help on this Dick! or a better product to replace it with

You could have a print shop produce you a ream of paper with your letterhead already printed on it, that's what I used to do! That's what you had to do before color printers!

I have a ream of that already, that i used for 20 years before I could send via email. I like the idea and novelty of switching things around, plus I would have to send by snail mail. I couldn't highlight things I want to stand out that is already printed. I still have two churches believe it or not that wont except email.

Dick, I'm going to be of limited assistance because my Epson Eco-Tank system 4760 series machine is doing fine. I've printed up double-sided printed copies of all five of my completed novels, all in the 100K-140K word count. Never had a glitch. I did look up your error and got this:

4760 might be a better printer, I was hoping somebody had the same problem with a 3830

The fact that I found an article on it suggests that someone must have done this before and gotten the error message.
