yes it is. you can either open the sheet using a library and then loop the fields in the record and use copy/paste to move the data to the end of the set in excel. or...you can also use the EXPORT SPREADSHEET method with an sql statement (i think) and nitpick the record out of it. I think this will make a new one-record tab in the excel file though, so it might not be best.
note too, that you can get a lot of syntax you need from recording macros in excel and memorizing the code it generates from your mouse clicks
