Hi guys,

I have a minor issue which is kind of bugging me, and its to do with importing from excel into Access.

i have this number in excel:

8.5701004593e+011
Before I do anything, I do have to format this number first so: Format-> number -> remove two decimal places to make it look like the number below.
857010045930

Whenever I import into access my records show up as:

8.5701004593e+011 which doesn't make sense to my users. What can I do to make it appear as:

857010045930

Help would be appreciated
Thanks

Formatting does not change the data that is in the cell. It only shows the displayed value. Rather than formatting, multiply by 100 to remove the two decimal places.

In the table or the form? (I mean, formating the control or field in the table.)

In the control properties, set the Format to "Fixed" and "Decimal Places" to 0.

In the Table of the Column/field, select the column/field you want to edit and in the "General Tab" set the "Format" to Fixed and "Decimal Places" to 0.
