Go Rays!!!

I'm holding my breath.
If I say it's in the bag at this point I'll jinx it.
(My husband tells me these things.)

The phrase at the beginning of your sentence is incomplete. (There is)

It is not compulsary to include that. I was pointing out actual glaring errors that KennyBabe made, I'm guessing education in the poorer southern states is not as good as elsewhere.

You shouldn't give up though. If you keep trying, you may become a better speaker than Bush.

Thank you for your encouragement Mile-O, I shall strive to achieve that goal.

You have created a compound sentence without the required correlative conjunction. A comma alone is not proper English. The word Southern should also be capitalized, since it refers to a geographical area. I apologize for being strict, but improper punctuation and grammar disgust me.

If you work hard, it is bound to happen.

You must have a field day with Bush;):D

I do actually! I choose a random sentence from one of his speeches for my Communicator message every day at work. Bushisms are great.

If you're so hot on grammar, why don't you point out the errors of some other posters here?

I think that until you treat everyone equally, I am subject to discrimination, and if you fail to pick up on American posters failings there is a possibility you could be racially biased.

Oh and the "s" in southern is a generic term not a proper area of the USA (like Texas or Georgia), therefore it is not necessary to capitalise it.

My God Colin, you have regressed.
That rush of air you hear is people going to thier control panels to put you back on their ignore list.

BTW - According to the Canadian Press style book, Northerner, Southerner, Easterner and Westerner would all be capitalized. If you have a problem with this, please take it up with Canadian Press.

Anywho...

What say we shut-up about the grammer and let speaker, george and bob have the baseball thread back?

So how'd the series go? Have they decided who's going to the big show?

I think that's because you're the only person that shows how much you care about the language. Most people these days are just happy to be understood.

If more people cared, then maybe the world could be a better place. Americanisms should not be acceptable in the Queen's (God Bless Her) English.

I'm afraid that is a forlorn dream you harbour.

Well, you were never happy to see me un-banned. Your post when I was banned stated you were happy to see me gone and that the forums would be a better place.

Maybe we should have a poll on whether I should voluntarily not post any more.

Why not just shut and take your self indulgent drivel to your own thread. This is a thread about baseball :)

Hear Hear. If people want lessons in grammar then they can set up their own thread. There is nothing worse than getting unsolicited advice about something.

Well, gramatically much better than your second last post - still not quite right, but slightly more understandable.

I shall not post again in this thread unless I'm obliged to respond.

What's a communicator?

We did take a poll.
We'd like a posted performance bond. :D

I'm sorry for helping hijack this thread. It was just getting old very quickly having every single post broken apart and analyzed for proper punctuation.
