Just wondering if there is a better way to find data

just theorising but I guess you could use 36 bits to indicate the presence of a letter or number in a bit of text (0-9,a-z, ignoring all other characters and not worrying about multiple instances).

Alternatively there was a post in the jokes thread (I think) which did something similar (perhaps removed vowels) but the text could still be read.

e.g.

whch dd smthng smlr (prhaps rmvd vwls) bt th txt cld stll b rd.

slight cheat as you've just read the sentence!

Your pidgin' English removed the vowels. That's pretty easy to read. I saw a different example someplace that mangled the words but I could still read the sentence. It had something to do with expectation and how our brain works. Pretty cool. Maybe someone else remembers where it might be.
