Hello Guys..

Is there any way to make sure that when my user opens the DB, this opens in the monitor they want..????? [ they have 2 monitors, a default and secondary]

I have been bugged all day with this question, because the app always opens in the default monitor and most want to open it in the second monitor, and this is beyond the few hairs I have..

Thanks.

The default behavior is that an accdb opens on the monitor where it was displayed the last time it was closed.

How does your code determine the default monitor?

This is a Windows question, not an Access question. Access opens in the window that Windows creates for it.

Alternatively, do this search: "In Windows, open a window at specific screen location" and go through the articles. One of them might be what you want.

Well something does happen, because I close the main menu in the user's computer on the monitor he wants the app to work and seems like it has a mind of its own, comes back to the main monitor.
And I do not have any code to determine what monitor, that is way too advance for me Sir.

Thank you.

Maybe we are talking about two different things, though.

You say, "... I close the main menu in the user's computer..."

I was referring, not to a menu in an Access application, but Access itself.

@The_Doc_Man has offered some resources that may be helpful in resolving the Access window placement problem.

If the problem is, indeed, related only to the Main Menu in the application, that's a different factor.

If you are using popup windows - I don't, they can open on other monitors also. Do you have two monitors? Do you always open Access on your left monitor but the user wants it on his right monitor? Try, before you distribute a new version, changing the monitor you use for the app and save it in the configuration the user prefers. Then distribute the app and see if that helps.

Great Idea I'll try with the new changes I've done..
