For what it is worth, I finally saw the new cardio guy, had my tests. His accent isn't so tough at all. Don't know (and don't care) whether he is from India, Pakistan, or some other country in that part of the world. Tests came out way better than I expected because my family history on Dad's side is abysmal. (Dad and both his brothers died at age 77 or 78 of myocardial infarctions.) While I do have a touch of atherosclerosis, I have no major blockages and my heart muscle does not show any damage. Not bad for 73 years old.
If I inherited Dad's old-age mental acuity and Mom's heart, then maybe I've dodged at least a couple of biological bullets.
