My company runs an acess database and interface within a workgroup framework. Our application is fairly stable, but the only issue we seem to be encountering is that of abrupt network dissconnects. When this happens the backend database locks every user out of the database. Sometimes it even gets corrupted past the point that a simple compact and repair can fix. My first question is, is there any way to avoid this by using error handling code (mabyee on the form_error sub).

My second question would be is this a fairly common associated with access databases or are we just dealing with faulty wiring schemes by whoever installed the network.

Thanks,
Michael Oakes

Sounds like a bit of a pain. I don't really have answer to your question but if it's serious problem you may want to look into 'Replication', it has it's pro's and con's, and provide a sololution.
