Opening form not working on 1st click

I made a database that opens to a main menu form adn for some reason when I click one of the buttons there it does nothing. But when I click it a second time it does what it should. It doesnt matter which button I click when I first open it either. Any ideas what might be causing this? It never had this problem till the last day or 2 and in the beginning it was working fine.

I'm not sure if this fixed it but it was a 2007 Access file, I tried saving it as a 2003 version and it seems to be working. Not sure why that would make a difference but it seems to right now.
