For years I've beebn inserting Photoshop pictures into a field in an Access database of orchids. A few years ago, I upgraded to a new version of Photoshop Elements (7) and the psd files wouldn't display. At that time, I changed to inserting bmp files and everything displayed perfectly. I recently installed Photoshop CS 5 & now no new files will display (psd, jpg, bmp, etc.). Only the name of the file shows in the field box. The pictures that were inserted before display fine. I haven't changed anything in Access or Windows (Vista). Has anyone had a similar problem? I just want to include a picture with each record. Thanks.

Two things come to mind:

- Do you have the latest Service Pack for Office or Access?
- Open the code window and see if you have missing or broken reference.

I have installed the latest service pack.
As to the code window, I don't know how to get there. Sorry.

Make sure your picture resolution isn't too high. We have that problem here at work with all images. If the resolution gets to high then the Access image control seems to have problems.

We limit our pics to 640 x 480 which seems to keep things in check.

I really appreciate all of your help. The photos are kept small on purpose. The code window has four references checked: Visual Basic for Applications, Microsoft Access 12.0 Object Library, OLE Automation, Microsoft Visual Basic for Application Extendability. Nothing else is checked.
