printing a page of stock book

I have two tables.
The ITEM RECD table containing the fields -- recd_invoice_ no, invoice_date,part_no,qty.
The ITEM ISSUE table containing fields- issue_no, date, part_no,qty.
The two tables are related by the part_no field.

How do I print a stock book type report for each item individually with all the recd item details on left side and the issued item details on the right side? All the recd & issue details for all dates need to be there in the report.

ITEM RECD Table:

INV NO INV DATE PART NO QTY RECD
0278 12/04/07 542T765 4
0279 13/04/07 543T786 5
0290 16/04/07 542T765 2

ITEM ISSUED Table:

ISSUE NO ISSUE DATE PART NO QTY ISSD
212 13/04/07 542T765 3

The report FOR PART NO 542T765 will be like :

INV NO DATE QTYRECD ISSUENO ISSUEDATE QTY BALANCE
0278 12/04/07 4 Blank Blank Blank 4
Blank Blank Blank 212 13/04/07 3 1
0290 16/04/07 2 Blank Blank Blank 3

What not use Sub reports

Hi,

Just a thought - could you build the report up from sub reports, using the part number as the key number to link the two reports on the main report
