Hello,
I have one machine that gets this error when trying to print or e-mail a report:
the microsoft jet database engine could
not find the object

Any other machine can print from this db.
Access 2003. XP Pro, SP2.

Yes, a network printer.

I know it's goofy but you *must* have a local printer defined for this to work. It does not have to be turned on or actually attached. It just has to be defined. A network printer won't do it. It does not have to be the default printer either. Like I said...goofy.

Thnx RuralGuy !!! (and George6156 4 posting :p )

I had the same problem...

So it's possible to set a networkprinter as default, i just have to make shure that there is a local printer defined... ?

Yep! It could be a text printer to a file. It just has to be a local printer and not just the network one.

You' re welcome and thanks for posting back with your success.
