I consider myself somewhat dangerous when I open up SSMS like I'm careening down the road without training wheels. So you better just stay out of my way 
There is probably a way to make views not updateable but whenever I create a view it is updateable. That's all I can say about that.
For whatever reason, Access seems to "see" the necessary primary keys although in the past, I have had to create pseudo indexes to make some views updateable. My code that relinks server side tables also relinks any pass through queries that use the same connection.
