When I do a report view everything is fine but when I try to print preview and print an error message is discplayed.

I have attahed a screen print of the error.

Anyone, please help me. I need to get this going asap

Thank you in advance

What's the code? The format event does not run in Report view, just Preview and Print views.

Thank you pbaldy.

In fact I tried doing print preview and I am still getting the same message. I also tried publishing as pdf and sending as attachment in an e-mail.

The data on the report is sourced from a query using several joined tables. I tried removing all tables and joingin 1 by 1 and still the same. The weird thing is it worked on Friday and I was able to print. I don't know what caused the problem to recur.

I have some computations included in the query and I am guessing it might have to do with the values used - example I might have missed a value which may be a text or something.

Please tell me what are your views

Is there code in the format event? If so, what is it?

I am not sure what you mean by format event - but what I can say is that some of the fields that are selected from the query were expressions. Could it be that there is one field on the report where I have set an expression?

Can you post the db here? The error implies a problem with code in the format event. The behavior you describe is consistent with that, since the format event does not fire in Report view but does fire in Preview.

Thank you Paul
Yes I will try to upload the DB. But I cannot see any way to upload it. I did upload a screen print in a previous post though

I will look into this again

Sorry, I still get an error trying to extract the file (Win 7 Pro built-in process). What did you use to zip the file? I wonder if the methods aren't compatible.
