Running Count Over Group in Query

Hi Pbaldy

Yes this is for Access..because the file is so big (375,000 rows and 137 columns), I created a link in Access to the excel table because its too big to load. I then made a local copy of the table and used the formula while querying the copied local table. The query starts as if its going to do the calculation but then gives me the error message I mentioned earlier.

Can you attach the db here? I'm stumped, without being able to play with it.

Unfortunately I cannot attach the db as it is HIPPA protected data.

I understand. If you continue to have a problem, perhaps a representative sample with junk data?
