Saving filtered records?

Hi Guys

Im a newbie in the access world and i am running into difficulty saving a filtered table or query, i run the filter by excluding selection and it leaves me with the records i want in the database and i go to file>save etc but then when i re-open it the original records are back that i filtered out. Is there a way to delete the filtered records out or to make a new database with the filtered data?

If you use a query. you can produce a filtered recordset whenever you like without destroying your original data. it you really need to remove data, either use a delete query (carefully) or use an append /make table query to post new data into an existing / new table
