I set permissions for a group for <New Tables/Queries>.
When I create a new table, the permissions are applied to the new object.
However, if I import a table, the group has no permissions for the object.

I assume that this is by design.

Should I also assume that for all imported tables I need to set the permissions individually, or is there a way to apply my permissions across the board?

Thanks,
Shep

I appologize if my simple answer is not what you are looking for, but can't you just hold down the SHIFT key and press the Page Down button a few times to select all the tables and then change their permissions all at once?

Yes, that is true...and thank you for your reply.

I was worried that as I build this database, I might overlook an object.

Causing confusion.

Confusion is disruptive.
Confusion is annoying.

Are you truly "importing" a table or are you linking it ?

If you are linking then the table has its original permissions established in the source MDB.

If you are importing a table, then I am just guessing that it is still carrying its original permissions. Don't know from experience on this one.

I was importing, yes, not linking.
It occurs to me that a table's original permissions have no bearing on the matter, since it was created under a different workgroup...but I am not sure either.
