One of my coworkers contacted me today to let me know that her database suddenly quit working. When I looked at it, I found that the database was not in a "trusted location". I tried to add the location as a "trusted location" and received this error message: "The remote or network path you have entered is not allowed by your current security settings."

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

If you google "The remote or network path you have entered is not allowed by your current security settings." the problem

I didn't have the "allow trusted locations on my network checked

comes up a couple of times. So do you have that checked?

If you are not the security manager for your network, talk to that person and inquire as to any special issues with the folder in question. If there is a domain-based block on the machine or folder in question, resolve that first. Then you might be able to add that folder to the trusted locations list.
