I am trying again with the centralising my back end database, to be accessed by three main sites...
I've heard about sharepoint since office 365, and it seems to be the best option for hosting the database, but there is very little information about it.
I thought it was a bit like the OneDrive, but the OneDrive would only hold a copy and couldn't connect to a backend on a different machine.
Sharepoint seems to be able to host the backend and be accessible from multiple sites by multiple users... but before I commit to the subscription, I need to know if it will actually do the job or if I've got the wrong end of the stick.
Before you say, I've looked into SQL databases, and there are none out there to suit our needs, let alone ODBC access.
What are your opinions? Or what are my options?
