I have a data base in a shared directory on a Windows 2000 Server. I created the database on my home computer and copied it to the Server. There are two workstations accessing the program and a person using the server as a workstation also accessing the database. I am about to add another remote user using Terminal Server. I want to split the database. When I try to do this, I get an error the Microsoft Jet DB Eng stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time. I have copied the database to another computer and directory and tried to split it thinking I could then copy it back. Still get the same error. All workstations are Windows 98 SE. Would appreciate some help.

Thanks,

If anyone is interested, I found the reason I could not split the database was because there was a corrupt record in one of my data files. The Access 97 repair utility did not repair the error. I had to delete the record and re-enter it. I found it by doing a search for #ERROR in the fields of my data file. I replaced the record and the database which was fairly large split in a matter of a few minutes.
