Hi,

I have recently developed a system in Access 2003. I have applied user/role for accessing the system. The performance of the database is getting slower by the day.

When I created I didnt split the database. Now when I am trying to split the database. For this I created a blank database and then tried to import the database for splitting. However when doing this it is giving me an error when I try to Import..

"You do not have necessary permission to the database. Have your system admisnitrator who created the object establish appropriate permission for you "

Could you please let me know how to resolve this.

Hi

Have you tried using the Database Spliter wizard? To find it, click on Tools, Database Utilities.

Hi BOB,

Thnaks for the reply. I tried the option you said and it helped. Just one more query, since I was splitting the database to increase the performance...do I have to kept the frontend(containing forms, query, report) in each user's machine? Since we make changed quite frequenctly and there are quite some number of users, it becomes tedeious to transfer the modified the fronend to each users machine everytime.

Is there a way to resolve this?
