try to make form for data entry (1 Viewer)

trying to teach myself Microsoft access and oh dear is it hard going

just spent ages building a form, when i look at it i can see the test information i put in the tables, however i'm unable to input anything, if i go to the last field and if i keep tabbing it just goes back to the top, anybody got any ideas where my mistake is: is it in the tables, the relationships between the tables, the query i built the form on or the form itself

Access won't save the data until the form is closed or it moves to a new record

unfortunately it wont move to a new record, it will only go to the last saved one and no further

i've been playing around with forms, is it possible to have a data entry form that works across tables, when creating forms you can select a query which goes across tables to base the form on, but is this only for forms you use for viewing information
