I have a hyperlink control on a form which is linked to a jpeg image stored on the local HD. Whenever I click on the link, I get a Access Security Notice ("This location may be unsafe.") even though I have set the image's file folder to a Trusted Location. Is there any way this message can be disabled??

Thanks for any help on this...

Tried that JHB but no success. Tried running "Microsoft Fix it" first which didn't work. Followed that by using RegEdit to set

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Common\Security

"DisableHyperlinkWarning" = 1 (was = 0) which also had no effect.

I dunno but the MS support site seems to pertain to web address hyperlinks rather than file locations which is what I'm using it for.

I did created a hyperlink as you've, then I got the warning as you describe.
Then I added the following to the registry-file, (picture attached), after that then it open without warning!
Did you put it in as a "DWORD" 32bit?

Yes, set the same DisableHyperlinkWarning = 1 just as you did (as DWORD 32bit). Rebooted this time but still no joy :(

I'm running Win 7 Home Premium which doesn't come with Access (2010) so Access in my case is an add-on. Maybe that explains the difference??
