Unrecognized database format (1 Viewer)

I get the "Unrecognized database format" error when I try to run an Access 97 database on Windows XP. The error popped up after I installed ODE 97. I also had Access 2000 installed on the PC, but I uninstalled it not to cause any confusion, just in case. How do I resolve this problem and open the db? Thanks!

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, the conditions set by the article do not fit my case. I do not have a sort order or a language problem. Any suggestions?

I used a previous copy of the file, and it works fine now. The new one was somehow corrupted. Thanks!
