Can you use a form to add criteria to a query? I would be good if i could have a form where the user can add various criteria into a query, then bash button to show the queries results.

Is that doable?

please excuse my enormous dumbness

Take a look at the Sample Datatbases section in here. There are examples of this.

in where sorry?

So dumb....

can you point me to the right one? I canny find the stuff me is looking for!!

Erm, Main Forums index page, third forum down.

i know that.....not that dumb.....just ment what particular example database out of the many would be the best.

Found good one now anyway.

Yes doable - I am trying this out myself - and have seen it done in other d/bases - you set up a form - in my case a diary form to print of a diary report by handler
enter in a date range from and too and in a combo box with a list option i will have the people named - this combo box will have names /critia in it that is within the d/base in 1 field and not split accross two

another one i am running is by country

I have not finished it - so it is do-able but not 100% sure how - once I have figured this out will whizz it accross

I know this is not much help at the mo - but it does offer light at the end of the tunnel - You could try and look at some of the sample d/bases that are around that you can run reports off - with diffrent critia listed in a combo box and hack these apart and see how they work (recommend that you make a copy of current d/basee before you try and do this - found out the hard way last night lost a lot of work when I did soemthing and it cause my system to have a fit)
