visible = true is false

See demo of three cases. Setting visible = true then closing pop up does not work. Simply closing the popup first works. Or setting focus to the hidden form first suprisingly works.

@MajP - I wonder if that is because (technically) a form can't receive focus, only a control on it

Majp. I initially was closing me.name first but there were some peculiar side effects. Can't remember exactly what but reversing the order fixed them. I will stay with what I have now.
Mike. This system has been running on a mixed wireless / wired network for some 4 + years without any problems. We did have major problems on sharepoint but with a dedicated location on the network all is good.

It does, but no idea why or how. I just tried it because the OP said it worked. I will send the demo to show these cases.

Actually, in my post re adding the setfocus, i did say I added it after the visible = true, not before.
So you may have inadvertently discovered something.
